Why You Want An Additional Storefront

What exactly is an Additional Storefront?
MIVA Merchant Additional Storefronts enable you to add one or more extra storefronts to your existing MIVA Merchant store on the same domain. Meaning, you can have a completely separate, fully-functional MIVA Merchant storefront without having to setup it's own website with it's own server space.

To add a storefront, you simply plug-in your Additional Storefront License into your MIVA Merchant admin, and voila! You have another storefront to sell items on.

Ok, I get the idea. But why would I want more stores?
Let's say you have two separate product lines. You could just create two different categories in your MIVA Merchant storefront and have your customers try to differentiate between the two.

Or, you could create an entirely separate look and feel for each product line, with separate shipping, payment, and tax options with an Additional Storefront. If you ever needed to figure out sales for one product line, for example, you would just look at your order history for that storefront. Since the stores have entirely separate data, all managed through the same admin interface, it's easy to compare your sales.

What else can I do with an Additional Storefront?
Some merchants also use Additional Storefronts to create a separate "wholesale customer" version of their store. Or maybe you want a store for your Canadian customers and one for your U.S. customers. You could even setup a storefront for a friend of yours that's just getting into the e-commerce business. The possibilities are endless.
